This onsite role requires in-office time at their Fremont facility.
Responsibilites
- Ensure that molds are cleaned greased and serviced correctly to be prepared for the next production run.
- Troubleshoot molds to include hydraulics, electrical, pneumatics, and mechanical fixes
- Inspect and evaluate wear, damage, or abnormal conditions in molds and determine repair actions
- Perform high-precision machining on manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, and EDMs.
- Program and set up CNC equipment (mill, lathe)
- Utilize precision measurement techniques using microscope, micrometers, calipers, comparator, gage blocks, and indicators
- Maintain proper housekeeping of work areas
- Maintain records for tooling repairs, service, and maintenance per established procedures
- Coordinate shipping of components and molds with vendors when outsourced.
- Recommend changes required to part design, tool design, or equipment capability to achieve acceptable quality and cost requirements
- Adhere to good manufacturing practices and safety guidelines
- Follow schedule for work shifts, meetings, time off, overtime, and breaks
Qualifications
- High school diploma or college degree
- Machining school certification
- Mechanical skills
